Yleiskatsaus

FAIR ZONE is the household/garden/leisure brand of the Cologne fair-trade company FAIR SQUARED (idea born from Oxfam's 2005 'Make Poverty History' campaign; first FAIR SQUARED products were condoms, hand creams and lip balms). Concern over low rubber prices and poor plantation-worker conditions from 2006 led to fair-trade natural rubber becoming FAIR ZONE's core material.

2005

Parent company FAIR SQUARED's idea born from the Oxfam 'Make Poverty History' campaign (Cologne).↗

2010

First FAIR SQUARED products (condoms, hand creams, lip balms) sold via Oxfam and Amnesty International.↗

2012

Fair Rubber Association (Fair Rubber e.V.) founded, co-founded by FAIR SQUARED.↗

2013

FAIR SQUARED moved to Cologne, Germany; production relocated to the Eifel nature park; range grew from 12 to 150 items.↗
